Watch: Dubai breaks another world record with drones

DUBAI – They looked like fireflies in the sky, but they did more than just glow in the dark: they broke a Guinness World Record for drone formations. The Dubai Media Office released a video of the spectacular drone formations that earned Dubai a new world record for most consecutive formations made by a set of drones. The feat was achieved during a graduation ceremony of the 26th batch of cadet officers of the Dubai Police. The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who was seen taking footage of the aerial display on his mobile phone. Dozens of drones were used to create formations on air. There were eleven formations in total, including portraits of the Dubai Ruler and the Crown Prince.
