Greener Dubai by 2040: Sheikh Mohammed unveils 20-year plan

  DUBAI – The Ruler of Dubai on Saturday (March 13) announced a massive urban master plan to make Dubai the “best city in the world to live”, while expanding its natural scenery. Under the Dubai 2040 plan, the emirate will double its green spaces, recreational areas and public parks by 105 percent. Watch the video:

Up to 60 percent of Dubai will be made up of natural reserves, according to the plan announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Dubai will also have 400 percent more beaches in the next 20 years. ICA/Expat Media
