Dubai Police released a shocking video on Sunday (October 20) to remind drivers that running a red light is a severe violation of traffic and safety laws, warning that strict penalties will be imposed on violators. Watch the video here: The video shows a concrete mixer failing to stop at a red light at an intersection. It speeds through and collides with a black sedan, dragging it onto the pavement. The impact spins the car around, leaving it facing the wrong direction on the road, with its damaged rear bumper hanging off. Another vehicle is seen swiftly avoiding the collision just in time. Whether the accident led to any injuries remains uncertain. The authority warned that running a red light incurs a fine of Dh1,000, 12 black points, and vehicle impoundment for one month, as stated in Decree No. (30) of 2023.
