Water flows into Dubai Canal for first time

  DUBAI – The Dh2 billion Dubai Canal moved closer to completion after seawater flowed into it for the first time on Monday (October 24). It was part of a testing process during the project’s three-year construction period. The Dubai Canal is set to open in November. Bridges have been constructed at different locations as work on the project moved at a steady pace. The Dubai Canal spans 3.2 kilometres and links the Business Bay Canal and Dubai flowing into Arabian Gulf. It will have 18 marine stations so that people can travel along the waterway from Deira and Bur Dubai to Jumeirah.
