Swissotel Al Ghurair has introduced an engaging initiative for fitness enthusiasts in Dubai as part of the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge. Known as the “What’s Your Watt” challenge, this event invites UAE residents and visitors to participate in a daily 30-minute workout session at the Swissotel Gym, with free gym access and the chance to win prizes, including a staycation and an annual gym membership. Throughout the 30 days of the Dubai Fitness Challenge until November 24, participants can pre-book a free 30-minute workout slot from 1pm to 7pm every day. Using the state-of-the-art SportsArt machines, individuals aged 18 and above can generate energy, measured in "watts," as they exercise. This energy output not only supports the environment but also qualifies participants for rewards. Grace, a representative from Swissotel Al Ghurair's recreation department, expressed her enthusiasm for the event. “This is a fantastic initiative that aligns with the Dubai Fitness Challenge goals. Taking even 30 minutes out of our day for exercise can significantly reduce stress, promoting a healthy lifestyle here in the UAE,” she shared with Expat Media. Participants who meet or exceed the daily target watts will receive rewards, such as pool and gym day passes. Those generating the highest energy during the entire challenge period stand a chance to win major prizes, including an annual gym membership, a family suite staycation, and a relaxing couple's massage. Swissotel Al Ghurair has partnered with SportsArt, an eco-friendly fitness equipment brand, to power this challenge. Through the energy generated during workouts, the hotel aims to reach a total of 30,000 watts by the end of the challenge—enough to power a household for a full day.
