Dubai residents have a chance to win up to Dh100,000 by participating in the Dubai’s Best Decorated Ramadan Homes contest. The competition encourages households across Dubai to showcase their creativity by decorating their homes with festive lights and ornaments throughout Ramadan. With substantial prizes at stake—including Dh100,000 for first place, Dh60,000 for second place, and Dh40,000 for third place—the contest aims to foster a sense of community and celebrate the cultural significance of the holy month. Additionally, seven participants will win Umrah trips for two. The initiative was launched by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in collaboration with Ferjan Dubai. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s Year of the Community, reinforcing cultural heritage and encouraging deeper connections within Dubai’s diverse society. Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, highlighted the competition’s role in bringing families together through shared traditions. “This competition offers a unique opportunity for families to celebrate their traditions while engaging with the wider community. By transforming their homes with festive decorations and lights, residents contribute to a collective celebration that strengthens social bonds,” Al Suwaidi said.

How to join the competition

The competition is open to all Dubai residents who wish to participate by decorating their home facades with lights and Ramadan-themed decorations. Submissions should be in the form of a creative video showcasing the decorations and reflecting the spirit of the Year of the Community. Participants must upload their videos as an Instagram Reel on their public Instagram account, tagging @branddubai and @ferjan.dubai while using the official hashtag #Dubai’s_Best_Decorated_Ramadan_Homes_2025. The deadline for submissions is March 21. A panel of judges will evaluate entries based on visual impact, creativity, and innovation. To ensure fairness, no two winners will be from the same neighborhood in Dubai. ICA/Expat Media
