A total lunar eclipse will be visible on Tuesday (November 8), just days after a partial solar eclipse in the UAE. According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), a lunar eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align, causing the Moon to pass into the shadow of the Earth. During a total lunar eclipse, the entire Moon is engulfed in the darkest region of Earth's shadow, the umbra. When the Moon is in the umbra, it becomes reddish. Due to this phenomenon, lunar eclipses are commonly referred to as "Blood Moons." This will be the last total lunar eclipse for the next three years. The next occurrence is expected on March 14, 2025. BKM/ Expat MediaFor all the latest news from the UAE and the world, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube page
