Expat woman gives birth in ambulance in Ajman

  DUBAI – An expatriate woman unexpectedly gave birth in an ambulance while on her way to a hospital in Ajman. She safely delivered a baby girl. The ambulance crew in Ajman said it was their first time to deliver a baby inside the emergency vehicle. The woman was scheduled to give birth on March 17, but her baby come out six days earlier than expected. The baby girl has been named Maya Henneh. The woman’s Ethiopian husband, Advance Feisa, said both mother and baby are in good condition. Feisa said that last Friday, his wife started experiencing severe pain, so he called the emergency hotline for help. Two ambulances arrived at their house in Al Rumaila in Ajman after his wife went into labour. She was inside the ambulance when she gave birth on the way to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital. Feisa said that the ambulance crew helped his wife relax and safely deliver their baby girl. Maya is the couple’s second child. ICA/Expat Media
