The criminal court sentenced a 32-year-old woman to one month in jail, followed by deportation, for stealing a swimsuit from a well-known retailer selling women's clothes. The woman went to the store with the intent to steal a bikini, according to the investigation conducted by the Public Prosecution. She snuck a swimsuit into her purse and went to the store late at night while the staff was preoccupied with other customers. However, the anti-theft gadget attached to the apparel set off an alarm as she attempted to leave the store. To get rid of the item of clothing, the woman hastily hurled it, but the security guards grabbed her and turned her over to the police. The Electronic Evidence Department of Dubai Police examined surveillance camera footage and saw that the woman tried to steal the swimsuit. She confessed to her crime and was sentenced to one month in prison, followed by deportation. BKM/ Expat Media
