Woman who landed in UAE by mistake repatriated home

  DUBAI – A 68-year-old Arab woman who arrived in the UAE by mistake after she was duped by a travel agency has been repatriated home, according to Ajman Police on Monday (November 23). After asking a travel agency to book her flight, the woman thought she was traveling to a neighbouring country so she could visit her son. She landed in the UAE instead. Unable to locate her son in the UAE, the woman then approached the Ajman Police station for help. Police soon found out that the woman was booked to travel to the UAE instead of a different country. Lieutenant Colonel Yahya Khalaf Al Matroushi, Head of Al Hamidiyah Comprehensive Police Station, said police provided accommodation to the woman while investigation was ongoing. Al Matrourshi said that Ajman Police helped arrange all the necessary documents to help the woman return home safely and even drove her to the airport.
