Females also account for almost half of participants in EIBFS's training courses

  DUBAI - The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) said that Emirati women make up most of Emiratis working in the country's banking sector. The EIBFS said this was shown in a study conducted by the institute, which also reported that 43 percent of those who participate in their training courses are females. The ratio of women to men is the highest in the country, according to EIBFS general manager Jamal Al Jasmi. Jasmi said the EIBFS believes that they have "contributed in their own way through our education and training programs to the increased participation of Emirati women" in the banking sector. "(Our) vision and constant encouragement of our leaders inspire every woman of our country to play their role in the country's economic progress." The EIBFS said women made up 43 percent of participants in the institute's training courses and workshops in 2016. The EIBFS was founded in 1983 and the institute offers educational programs and training sessions in banking and finance with campuses in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. More than 2,000 students have received their undergraduate degrees from the institute, it was learned. GAC/Expat Media
