DUBAI – A new super tower will open in Dubai soon, towering over Sheikh Zayed Road's skyscrapers as the world's next tallest hotel.
The 75-storey Gevora will stand tall at 356 metres (1,167.98 feet) and will open on February 12 to become the world's tallest hotel on record.
The current record is officially held by JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, which stands at 1,165 feet. The property, which opened in 2012, has 1,608 rooms.
The Gevora, also known as Ahmed Abdul Rahim Al Attar Tower, will have 528 rooms and 8 elevators.
Its neighbours include the Emirates Towers.
Dubai is home to other tall hotels, including the 1,093-feet tall Rose Rayhann and the 1,053-feeet tall Burj Al Arab.
