Expats now have a "golden chance" to obtain a driving license from Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) without attending lessons. This is a one-time opportunity; if the applicant does not pass the test, they must enroll in regular classes. They must first possess a valid driver's license from their home countries. They must complete the theory and road test portions of the RTA driving examinations in one take. The 'Golden Chance' initiative took effect on April 1, according to the RTA phone center. Residents of 43 countries are eligible to use this privilege. ALSO READ: No UAE driving license test for visitors from 43 countries However, the new RTA initiative offers non-exempt country citizens the chance to one-time chance through the rigorous process for obtaining the license. Qualified applicants can take the theory and driving tests immediately after completing the registration process and paying the required costs.

Does the applicant need prior training?

No, prior training is not necessary for the application. However, they have the option to do so for an additional fee.

How much does it cost?

Depending on the driving school, it will vary. Nevertheless, expenses are about Dh2,200. These will pay for things like the price of opening a file, tests, getting a license, etc.

What happens if the applicant fails?
