YouTube star AboFlah lives in Dubai glass box to raise $10 million

  DUBAI – YouTube star AboFlah will live in a glass box in Downtown Dubai starting on Friday (January 7) as part of a UAE campaign to raise $10 million in aid for refugees in the region. AboFlah (real name Hassan Suleiman) has vowed to remain in the glass box, located in Burj Park, until the money is raised. He will be live streaming his experience on his YouTube channel, where he has 22.7 million subscribers as of January 7. The stunt is part of the UAE’s Warm Winter initiative to provide essential food, clothing, blankets and aid to 100,000 refugees in the region. “Warmth in winter for those facing harsh winter conditions is no less important than food and water,” AboFlah said. "There are millions of refugees and displaced people who need all the support they can get. I wanted to participate in this humanitarian initiative and hope everyone will contribute by bringing warmth to the lives of those who are deprived of it,” he added. ICA/Expat Media
