Big Ticket: Filipina in Abu Dhabi wins Dh100,000

A Filipina in Abu Dhabi and two Indians walked away with Dh100,000 each in the weekly e-draw of Big Ticket, organisers announced on Monday (March 6). Cristina Palisoc, a resident of Abu Dhabi for the past 12 years, won the first Dh100,000 during the final weekly e-draw in February. Palisoc, who works as a secretary in the UAE capital, will be sharing the prize with 10 of her friends and relatives who have been pooling their money to buy tickets every month for the past four years. Palisoc took advantage of the buy-two-get-one-free offer and to her luck, the free ticket was the winning ticket.

Indian expat in Sharjah wins Dh100,000 in Big Ticket

Swaraj Areekkara, an Indian expat in Sharjah, is the second weekly e-draw winner of Dh100,000. Areekkara has been living in Sharjah in the last 13 years and works as a sales representative in a perfume shop. Areekkara has been buying from Big Ticket in the past five years. Expat from Saudi Arabia wins Dh100,000 in Big Ticket

Ashraf Ali, another Indian, is the third and final Dh100,000 winner for February. The Saudi-based Ali is a private driver earning a salary of 1,000 riyals a month. Ali said he has been buying Big Ticket raffle tickets every month in the last three years. He will be sharing the prize with 40 of his friends who have pooled their money to buy the ticket. He is grateful for his winnings, but is still keeping his eye on the Dh20 million jackpot on April 3. Fans of Big Ticket have until March 31 to make their purchases online at www.bigticket.ae.
