Dubai imams, preachers to get UAE Golden Visa, cash bonus

A UAE Golden Visa as well as cash bonus will be given to imams, preachers, muezzins, muftis and religious researchers in Dubai, the Crown Prince has announced. The recipients must have completed 20 years of work in these positions in Dubai, according to the decision by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. In addition to the Golden Visas, a cash bonus will also be given to the recipients as a token of appreciation of their efforts to teach religion and tolerance. The incentives come on the occasion of Eid. With the UAE Golden Visa, they will be able to stay in the UAE for 10 years without requiring a local sponsor, and also sponsor their family members and domestic workers. UAE Golden Visa holders can also stay outside the UAE for as long as they want without affecting the validity of their visa, unlike having a regular residency visa that becomes invalid once the holder stays outside the UAE for more than six months. Currently, a UAE Golden Visa is granted to investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents, scientists and professionals, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes.
