Whopping Dh620,926.61 NYE dinner bill. IG Story | Merk Turkmen

Dubai restaurateur shares photo of a whopping Dh620,926.61 NYE dinner bill

On New Year's Eve, a Dubai restaurateur posted a bill on his social media account that totaled Dh620,926.61. Merk Turkmen shared a photo of this bill on Instagram. A Downtown eatery billed an astonishing amount at a table with 18 diners. It's unclear whether Merk had to pay the bill or shared an image of it. He captioned the IG story, "Not first, not last," without further explanation. This is the second time an enormous bill of this kind has gone viral on social media, the first being a spectacular night of dining at Abu Dhabi's famed Nusr-Et Steakhouse. BKM/ Expat Media
