RTA to build rest stops for delivery drivers

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will construct three rest stops for delivery motorbike drivers. Delivery drivers will have access to maintenance, refueling, rest areas, and restaurants. RTA is dedicated to assisting the government's efforts to expand the scope of private partnerships that lead to the exchange of information and experience. The first station will be on Sheikh Zayed Road, close to Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali Village. The second station is at Port Saeed near Al Muraqabat Street 22, and the third is on Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, close to Al Manama Street. The project fits in with RTA's efforts to control and improve the safety of the delivery industry, which has shown impressive growth rates in recent years. RTA developed plans to build permanent and temporary vehicle rest facilities to accommodate the growing industry. In addition to providing excellent customer services, several initiatives were started to improve the efficiency and safety of this significant business, including issuing professional rider certificates, the Delivery Service Excellence Award, and holding workshops to familiarize drivers with traffic laws. RTA constantly aims to cultivate and promote relationships to meet the ongoing issues faced by delivery service providers. The delivery sector is being upgraded through joint partnerships, which would simplify business procedures in Dubai. This offers investment opportunities that might boost Dubai's economy, provide advantages for investors to realize workable returns on their investments, and further Dubai's position as a market leader.
