Dubai to give 20 cyclists, e-scooter riders Dh1,000

Dubai will give Dh1,000 to 20 random cyclists and e-scooter riders for two days as part of the "Safe Rider" initiative. In a recent Twitter post, the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the launch of the "Safe Rider" initiative as part of the Gulf Traffic Week 2023 activities. It will be a two-day initiative between March 6 and 12, where 20 random cyclists and e-scooter riders will be given Dh1,000 for safe driving. According to RTA, Gulf Traffic Week aims to spread awareness on adhering to traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents. In 2022, close to 35,000 cyclists participated in the event held as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. RZSP/Expat Media
