Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 has launched an exciting series of six indoor mall runs, giving residents and tourists a reason to stay active despite the summer heat. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, the DSS Indoor Runs are open to all ages and fitness levels. With upbeat music, prize giveaways, and air-conditioned routes, the series encourages families and individuals alike to embrace health and community. Here’s your guide to all six runs: June 28 – Dubai Hills Mall Challenge yourself across 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km routes, complete with aid stations and a fun atmosphere. Top finishers win trophies and vouchers. July 6 – City Centre Mirdif The #ActiveSummer run features 3 km or 5 km options for adults and an 850 m lap for kids aged 4 to 15. Expect medals, certificates, and big prizes. July 13 – Ibn Battuta Mall Choose from 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km. Early bird tickets start at Dh85 and include branded t-shirts, medals, and podium awards for top runners. August 3 – Mall of the Emirates Enjoy a family-friendly run in fully air-conditioned comfort, hosted by Dubai Sports Council and Peloton Events. August 10 – Wafi Mall Stay cool and active with this community run, also organised by Dubai Sports Council with fun for the whole family. August 31 – Dubai Festival City Mall Wrap up the series with a final energetic run filled with music, cheering supporters, and end-of-season surprises. ICA/Expat Media
