Tesla CEO Elon Musk, world's richest once again

Elon Musk is back on top of Bloomberg's list of the wealthiest people in the world. According to the Bloomberg report on Tuesday (February 28), the Tesla and SpaceX CEO has unseated Bernard Arnault, CEO of French luxury brand LVMH (LVMHF), as Musk's net worth ended at about $187.1 billion (Dh687 billion), getting the upper hand over Bernard Arnault whose fortune valued at $185 billion (Dh679 billion). Tesla stock rose 70 percent lifting Musk back to the top spot of the real-time Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Arnault had dislodged Musk last year as Tesla shares declined steeply amid Musk's problem-plagued acquisition of Twitter and a broader market downturn in tech. Musk might hold the current title of the richest person in the world, but he also holds the record of the biggest fortune ever lost by a person in history. In late 2022, Musk became the first person ever to lose $200 billion (Dh735 billion) in wealth, after his net worth dropped from $340 billion (Dh1 trillion) in November 2021 to $137 billion (Dh503 billion) in December 2022.
