After receiving their biggest bonus ever in May, there’s more good news for Emirates employees: a salary increase starting in July. According to Emirates Group in an email, employees working in Dubai will be awarded a 5 percent increase in their basic pay and an increase in their allowances for accommodation and transportation. Employees working abroad will receive increases to their basic salary according to the local cost of living. Emirates Group will also increase its UAE National Retention Allowance for Emiratis. Starting on September 2023, Emirates will also increase employees’ education support allowance by 10 percent. According to Emirates Group, the increase in salaries and allowances comes "as a direct response to the rise in the cost of living and inflation" globally. Last May, Emirates gave a 24-week bonus to all its employees around the world after posting a profit of Dh10.9 billion. Emirates Group's revenue reached Dh119.8 billion, an increase of 81 per cent over last year's results. ICA/Expat Media
