Emirati kids set Guinness World Records
A 4-year-old Emirati boy and his 8-year-old sister have set Guinness World Records for books that they wrote, according to reports on Saturday (April 1). Saeed Rashed AlMheiri set a Guinness World Record as the youngest person to publish a book with “The Elephant Saeed and the Bear”. His sister, AlDhabi, has also set a Guinness World Record for being the youngest person to publish a bilingual book series. Prior to this, she also set the record for being the youngest person to publish a bilingual book, according to Khaleej Times. AlMheiri’s “The Elephant Saeed and the Bear” reportedly sold more than 1,000 copies after students from AlDar Education-AlAin Academy bought copies of the book at a school event. His sister, AlDhabi, is one of the youngest entrepreneur in the UAE and runs the local publishing house Rainbow Chimney Educational Aids that helps children write and publish their books. Her mother said AlDhabi was only six months old when she began reading books to her, and that the girl grew up to be a voracious reader. AlDhabi recently visited the King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture-Ithra in Saudi Arabia for a book signing event.
