For Filipina teen Fathima Agum, her 19th birthday turned out to be far from ordinary—thanks to an unexpected act of kindness from Dubai Police. On Saturday (June 7), during a community sports event hosted at an outdoor court in Satwa, the Positive Spirit Council of Dubai Police surprised Agum with a new iPhone 16 Pro Max to celebrate her birthday and honor her dedication as a long-time volunteer. Agum, who has been actively serving as a volunteer photographer for the council since 2019, received the gift from Fathima Buhjeer, head of the Positive Spirit Council. The council recognized Agum not just for her volunteerism, but also for her active participation in Dubai Police’s sports teams, including badminton, padel, and cycling. “It was such a surprise. I wasn’t expecting anything, but they made me feel appreciated on my special day,” said Agum. Dubai Police’s Positive Spirit Council is known for initiatives that foster “happy residential neighbourhoods, enhancing social harmony and improving quality of life.” By rewarding individuals like Agum, the council aims to inspire more residents to give back to the community while also recognizing acts of service and positive engagement within Dubai's diverse communities.
