Girls, it’s your time to shine! The Dubai International Holy Quran Award is now open to you for the first time  in 27 years. With the registration deadline fast approaching, don't miss your chance to be part of one of the biggest Quran competitions in the world. Registration is open until July 20 via quran.gov.ae. This year’s edition is truly next level. Not only has the contest officially opened its doors to female participants, but the total prize pool has also skyrocketed to Dh12 million—with a $1 million grand prize waiting for the top male and female winners! Anyone under 16 years old who has memorized the Holy Quran and knows proper recitation and tajweed can sign up—just make sure you haven’t joined the finals before. Categories are now simplified: Male Award, Female Award, and Islamic Personality of the Year. Winners in 2nd and 3rd place also receive $100,000 and $50,000, respectively. Oh, and the Islamic Personality of the Year (for a person or an organization) also wins a whopping $1 million. CAM/Expat Media
