UAE: Man cuts dog owner's hand over pet sale dispute, arrested

In Dubai, a 35-year-old Gulf national was given a sentence of imprisonment for seven years for wounding a guy with a large knife during a dog auction. Following the report's arrival at the operations room, a team was deployed to the crime scene. During interrogation, the victim admitted to the police that he had advertised his dog for sale on social media. The accused saw the ad and called the victim, indicating his interest in purchasing the dog and requesting to inspect it before purchasing it. According to the records, they agreed to meet at the victim's home. The victim said that the accused came to his house and saw the dog, but that his daughter pleaded with him not to sell the dog before the deal was completed. This enraged the accused, who began a verbal fight with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim brought a tiny knife to compel the accused to leave his home, but he walked to his truck and returned with a huge knife, threatening the victim to sell him the dog as advertised. He wounded the victim's palm during their fight. The accused acknowledged beating the victim after the dog owner allegedly attacked him with a knife during an altercation, he claimed during interrogation. He denied injuring anyone permanently.
