We spend Italian night at Celsius in Nassima Royal Hotel. Here's the verdict    WITH the dearth of restaurants available in Dubai, it is truly hard to identify where to best spend an intimate dinner worth coming back for. It is in that same limbo that we find a steady stream of dining promotions on our social media news feeds that come and go even before we get the chance to try some. So when my dining companion and I stepped into Celsius, we felt we may have found what we've been looking for. Housed in Nassima Royal Hotel along Sheikh Zayed Road, the restaurant hosts a universal variety of cuisines. My companion and I tried out their Italian Night one Monday. Here’s how it went. Ambiance We were welcomed warmly and escorted to a table overlooking the dazzling city lights of Sheikh Zayed Road from a full glass window. The interiors were generous in space, embellished with classy color scheme and minimalist art details, fulfilling a true sense of romantic vibe perfect for a date night. Food A sprawling spread of Italian specialties stunned my companion and I. Apart from the colorful buffet of pre-cooked dishes, Celsius offered three live cooking stations – pasta-risotto, meat starters and pizza counters. All the famed Mediterranean salads were served and surely sated our palate. Being a fan of rocca greens and burrata, I found the selection rich and fresh. My companion enjoyed a bit of each from the cold cuts, cheese, bread and a chocolate fountain. He explained that amidst the more than 60 dishes prepared for this themed night, most of the ingredients, especially the spices, were imported straight from Italy. No wonder the tiramisu, pizza, hunter chicken and carpaccio tasted rich, authentic and exceptional. food from celcius at nassima royal hotel Service Whenever you dine in the restaurant, be sure to say hello to Chef Abu as well as his ever-friendly culinary team. Their service team was also superb and friendly, not just towards us but also as observed with the way they serve other diners. One dedicated server ensured our comfort, while leaving us enough privacy. Those three hours brought joy to our night, especially these dishes we absolutely loved: juicy pollo alla cacciatore (hunter chicken), perfectly baked Orata Al Cartoccio (sea bream) and the creamy Insalata di Ruccola Pecorino.
