The Roads and Transport (RTA) has implemented the third phase of trials using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology to assess Tram Drivers in real-time and ensure passenger safety. The Tram Driver Monitoring System is the world's first of its kind. Emotional Data Analysis and Automation (EDAATM) is a generative AI system based on deep learning models given by OWN Experiences, a Spanish firm with an R&D office in the UAE, VirtuE Therapy and Research. To monitor and gather data, RTA collaborates closely with the provider and operator of Dubai Tram, Keolis MHI. The technology contains a smart gadget and an armband that detects heart rate, speech patterns, and reaction times to evaluate driving style, unsafe practices, deviations, and gestures based on driver profiles. The technology decreases the possibility of human error incidents by predicting behavior that could jeopardize operational safety and prompt a preventive response to avoid mishaps. Data collected from incidents and routine operations are then analyzed to create a thorough insight into the drivers.
