Dh5,000 fine for reckless driving on tram tracks

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has issued warnings to drivers regarding the risks of reckless driving on the city's tram tracks. The authorities recently posted a video on social media reminding vehicles that entering or driving through a Dubai Tram track might lead to hefty fines of Dh5,000. Authorities also announced a Dh20,000 fine and a potential prison sentence for driving while under the influence of narcotics, including prescription medications. The UAE Public Prosecution said that there will be no exceptions made in cases where motorists have a prescription for the drug. BKM/ Expat Media
