Police in Sharjah are continuing investigations to complete legal procedures after an Indian man jumped off a bridge in sight of his wife and their child.

Sharjah Police said the tragic incident happened at around 7pm on June 14. The 35-year-old man jumped off the bridge near Sahara Centre in Sharjah’s Al Nahda area, police said. The man’s wife testified that they were returning home from Al Nahda Park with their child when he stood at the edge of the bridge and jumped, falling on the busy highway below. He was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital where he succumbed to severe injuries from the fall. His wife told police that the deceased was jobless and was struggling with financial problems. Meanwhile, Buhaira Comprehensive Police Station are completing legal procedures to hand over the body and death certificate to the family. ICA/Expat Media
