Dh1,000 Fine for Violating Bus Stop Sign Rules
Motorists who violate the stop sign rules involving school buses will be fined Dh1,000 and also receive 10 black points in their traffic file. The fresh warning came as students returned to classes this week for the start of the school year. Under the UAE traffic law, motorists must stop at a distance of five metres from the school bus when its stop sign is raised. This ensures that students can safely board or disembark from the bus and avoid any traffic accident. School buses in the UAE are equipped with radars to detect drivers who ignore the school bus stop sign.UAE rules for motorists when the school bus stop sign is raised
