No visa renewal if valid for 6 months

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced that new services do not allow applications for a residence visa renewal request if the visa is still valid for six months or more. ICP has simplified the process of renewing residency visas visa its website or the UAEICP app: instead of having separate applications, the updated process has only one application that covers issuing and renewing residency and identity cards.

How to renew visa in ICP app or website?

- Register and create an account. - Submit a visa permit renewal application. - Pay the prescribed fees. - Issue the visa and receive the Emirate ID, which contains the visa data. ICP has clarified that a sponsored person must have a passport with a validity of not less than six months. He also must complete his medical test and health insurance within the specified period so that the application will not be cancelled.

What are the other new updates on ICP services?

- Cancelation and modification of visa data in the accounts of citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries registered without an Emirati identity. - A service for printing visa and residence details in the accounts of visa holders. - A service of exemption from the Emirate ID (fingerprint and ICAO) procedure for individual accounts on the e-channel.
