Exit permits will be granted to visa violators in the UAE upon meeting certain requirements and conditions, according to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP). According to the ICP, those who overstayed their visit visa, residence visa or tourist visa must exit the UAE within seven days of receiving an exit permit. The exit permit will be granted after the violator pays fines for overstaying his or her visa. The fines can be paid through the ICP website, its app, or through approved typing centres. The exit permit will be issued via email. Newborns in the UAE who have not yet been issued a residency visa will also be given an exit permit, provided that any fine incurred is paid. Newborns with a residency visa must have a passport in order to leave the country.
