UAE-UK flight: 'Troublesome' passenger arrested

Emirates cabin crew recently had to "manage" an "unruly" passenger on a UAE-UK trip. The incident occurred on March 17 on aircraft EK019 from Dubai to Manchester, according to the Dubai-based airline, which confirmed the incident to Khaleej Times. "Upon arrival to Manchester, the passenger was met by police. The safety of our passengers and crew is of the highest priority and will not be compromised,” Emirates said in the statement. “The matter is now under police investigation, and Emirates cannot comment further on the incident.” The Greater Manchester Police confirmed the arrest and questioning of a 29-year-old man, according to British media. He has been released pending the outcome of the investigation. According to reports, cabin personnel handled the man's erratic behavior four hours into the eight-hour flight and isolated him from the rest of the passengers for the rest of the journey.
