Dead woman’s decomposing body found in a bag at abandoned bus stop

A decomposing body of a woman has been found inside a travel bag at an abandoned bus station in Malaysia. Reports say that when the bag was opened, the body was already being feasted on by maggots. According to reports from CNN and the Straits Times, the “mysterious” incident happened in Kulai, a district in the southern state of Johor when a local man discovered the bag. The authorities immediately conducted an investigation. They stated that they had experienced difficulties identifying the woman. According to police, more than 50 percent of her body had already been decomposed. However, according to a preliminary post-mortem report carried out by Sultanah Aminah Hospital, the victim may have been over 25 years old and had died because of a head injury around two weeks ago. Kamarul Zaman Mamat, Johor Police chief, reported that the woman is “probably not a Malaysian” and her head injury may have been caused by a blunt object. Based on the previous records, the police chief revealed that the “nature of the case is similar to those related to revenge.” The police stressed that they will continue to investigate and find out the motive of the killer and whether or not there is more than one suspect involved in the heinous crime.
