Dh126 million marriage grants disbursed to 1,798 Emirati couples
A total of 1,798 young Emirati individuals who got married in the first half of 2022 received marriage grants worth more than Dh126 million. The Minister of Community Development, Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, stated that a marriage grant of Dh70,000 per groom is available to Emiratis who fulfill certain criteria related to age and income. The program intends to strengthen families and increase the “awareness of youth” about the institution of marriage in order to support the aspirations of young Emiratis to build families that are both financially and morally stable.
