Hundreds queue for free iftar meals in Dubai Islamic center

  DUBAI – Hundreds of people queued up for free iftar meals being distributed at the Chinese Cultural Islamic Center in Dubai’s International City on Sunday (April 10). Packed meals are distributed starting at around 4:30pm or at least two hours before iftar every day, a volunteer at the centre told Expatmedia.net. Watch the video here: The iftar meal is part of the centre’s community program during Ramadan. The centre distributes around 1,100 meals per day, a volunteer said. “I think it is a really good gift for the community here where many bachelors are living. We can concentrate on our prayers this Ramadan instead of worrying about where to get the next meal to break our fast,” Abdul Kareem, a long-time resident of International City, told Expatmedia.net.
