Police intensify search for missing Sharjah teen, Yazan

The Sharjah Police has intensified the search for the 17-year-old Syrian teen, Yazan Muhammed Al Ani, who has been missing since March 26. The family said that the teen suffers from depression. It has been more than 20 days since he went missing, yet no report has been received about his whereabouts. The security teams in Sharjah continue investigating the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. To anyone who has information that could help the search for the missing boy, the police have called on the public to call 901, 999 or 06 51113000. The teen was last seen wearing a white sports T-shirt and black pants. The Buhairah Police Station received a report from the boy’s father, stating that his son, Yazan, has been missing since March 26 afternoon. His father told police that Yazan went alone for a walk in the afternoon after home schooling. After a while, they received a call from Yazan telling them he felt exhausted and was about to pass out. Yazan managed to mention his location in the call, but when his mother arrived at the place, he was nowhere to be found. The mother was not able to reach him, even though Yazan’s phone was connected to the network. The father added that on the day of his disappearance, the teen was fine and was not involved in any family dispute. He also said that their son has no friends and no relatives living in the country. As part of investigations, the teen's parents were summoned for questioning. RZSP/Expat Media ALSO READ: Sharjah missing person: Search continues for Arab teen
