He is a familiar face of LBC Express: Mark Agalo-os, the much loved Vice President for Middle East Operations of the popular logistics and solutions service provider. In this Q&A with Expat Media, Mark gives perspective on LBC’s culture and its longstanding commitment to helping Filipino expats.

What’s unique about LBC Express?

LBC takes pride in being the only end-to-end homegrown logistics service provider with the widest network coverage in the Philippines.

What do you love about your job?

Being in the logistics industry, you get to continuously meet and engage with a lot of people and constantly defy limits, break barriers, challenge the process and rally the team to eventually get things done.

What are some things you’ve learnt over the past years at LBC?

Never give up on what you believe even if they say no. Never settle for anything less.

What’s one of the biggest challenges LBC has faced so far?

Since the pandemic, the global logistics industry has been extremely volatile. We have regularly witnessed challenges related to port congestion, unavailability of container vessels, longer sailing days and increased cost of materials and services but what has been consistent is LBC’s commitment to provide quality service to our customers so we had to continuously think of how we can creatively implement operational and service adjustments while keeping customer satisfaction.

What do you believe is the biggest strength of LBC Express right now?

Our heritage, our worldwide network (presence in 30 countries, nationwide coverage in the UAE and of course, our extensive branch and hub network in the Philippines) and our strong bond with the communities that we serve are the ones we consider as our biggest strength.

Describe your company culture.

We at LBC, epitomize the joy of moving. We are a brand that knows what every package means to each of our customers, and we enjoy moving these packages for them that is why we work hard to ensure that every move is done with clarity, acted with certainty and made for convenience to help make our customer’s day.
