Careem supports 1 Billion Meals campaign for Ramadan

To establish the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, established the "1 Billion Meals Endowment" campaign, and Careem expressed its support of this initiative. Accessible on Google's Play store, Apple's App store, and Huawei's AppGallery, users can donate Dh3 to the drive whenever they book a ride through the Careem app. Through a unique feature in the Careem app, users will also be able to give any amount while ordering food, supporting the campaign and its goal of providing food help to the world's most needy populations. The "1 Billion Meals Endowment" campaign helps establish the role of endowment as a development tool. It ensures sustainable charity and contributes to the international effort to fight and eradicate hunger following Sustainable Development Goals, further highlighting the UAE's leading position in humanitarian work, both regionally and internationally. The "1 Billion Meals Endowment" campaign continues to accept contributions to the endowment fund from organizations and individuals through five main channels, including the campaign's website (www.1billionmeals.ae) and a dedicated call center via a toll-free number. This is in addition to accepting donations through the Careem app. (800 9999). Additionally, donations may be sent by bank transfer in UAE dirham to the campaign's Emirates NBD bank account number (AE30 0260 0010 1533 3439 802). The phrase "Meal" can be sent to either 1020 for du users or 1110 for Etisalat by e& users to donate via SMS for Dh1 per day over a month.
