Sharjah siblings whose mother died, father in jail get help

SHARJAH – Two siblings whose mother died and whose father is in jail have received help, thanks to the Sharjah Charity International. According to Asaad Al Zarouni, the charity came to know of the siblings’ plight through a philanthropist. The siblings' identities were not revealed. Al Zarouni said they found out that the girl and her brother were staying at their grandmother’s home after their father was put behind bars at the Punitive and Rehabilitation Establishment. The Sharjah Charity International helped the siblings with food, healthcare and a monthly financial assistance for their livelihood. The charity also provided academic sponsorship for the girl who is about to start secondary school. Her brother, who has completed his studies, is now on a job hunt. Al Zarouni said the charity has arranged continuous monthly stipend for the siblings. ICA/Expat Media
