UAE rulers, crown princes and senior officials joined thousands of worshippers across the country on Wednesday (May 27) to perform Eid Al Adha prayers in a display of unity, faith and tradition. In Abu Dhabi, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan performed Eid Al Adha prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque alongside senior members of the ruling family, ministers, officials and worshippers. Joining the UAE President were Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and several other sheikhs and senior officials. Following the prayer, Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Eid greetings with worshippers before reciting Al Fatiha in memory of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. In Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, performed Eid prayers at Zabeel Grand Mosque. The Dubai Crown Prince was joined by sheikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents during the prayer gathering. Meanwhile in Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, performed Eid prayers at Sharjah Mosque. He was accompanied by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as well as senior government officials and worshippers. In Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, performed Eid prayers at Al Zaher Palace Mosque alongside Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. After the prayers, the Ajman ruler exchanged Eid greetings with worshippers. In Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, offered Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mu’alla Mosque together with Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, and senior officials. Ras Al Khaimah Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi performed Eid prayers at Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Mosque alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, senior officials and members of Arab and Islamic communities residing in the UAE. In Fujairah, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, performed Eid prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah with Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and senior officials. Across the UAE, worshippers gathered at mosques early in the morning to mark Eid Al Adha, one of the holiest occasions in Islam, commemorating the values of sacrifice, faith, compassion and unity.
