Coronavirus in UAE: 27 new cases as of March 19

  DUBAI – The number of coronavirus cases in the UAE jumped to 140 on Thursday (March 19) after 27 new cases were recorded, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The authority did not give details about the newly infected individuals. According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, most of the cases of infected people in the UAE have a record of recent travel, or were exposed to an infected person. Also on Thursday, authorities announced that five people have recently recovered from Covid-19 in the country. The newly cured individuals included three Emiratis, a Syrian and a Sri Lankan. The five cases bring to 31 the total number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in the UAE so far.
