Coronavirus in UAE: active Covid-19 cases nears 9,000

  DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention reported on Tuesday (September 1) that 574 more people tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 8,930. Meanwhile, 560 more people have recovered from the virus in 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 61,491. No new deaths were reported. The ministry also said that mass testing for Covid-19 is ongoing across the UAE, with 82,772 tests conducted in 24 hours. Across the globe, coronavirus has infected 25.5 million and killed 851,000 people. Some 16.8 million people have recovered from the virus. ICA/Expat Media
