Pfizer vaccine now available for ages 12 above at SEHA centers in UAE

  DUBAI – The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for Covid-19 will now be available for individuals aged 12 and above at all SEHA centers in the UAE. Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines are now being administered across 60 centers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the northern emirates. “Those as young as 12 years old can receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, while the Sinopharm vaccine is only available to those over the age of 16,” according to the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) on Thursday (May 20). Last week, UAE authorities approved the use of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for children between the ages of 12 and 15. A nationwide vaccination campaign is ongoing in the UAE, with expatriates and Emiratis receiving free doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. How to book a vaccine appointment at DHA centre

Step 1: Get a Medical Record Number (MRN). To get your MRN, visit the DHA website (www.dha.gov.ae) or https://www.dha.gov.ae/en/pages/mrn.aspx Enter your Emirates ID number, and you will receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Confirm your details to generate your MRN number on the website. If the OTP is forwarded to a different mobile number, call Identity and Citizenship-UAE on 600 522222. Step 2: After getting your MRP number, book an appointment for vaccination by downloading the DHA app. People aged 60 years and above can opt to contact the DHA call centre at 800 342 to book the appointment.
