Coronavirus in UAE: Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Abu Dhabi theme parks temporarily closed

  ABU DHABI – Tourist attractions in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain Zoo, Louve Abu Dhabi and popular theme parks Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld, will be closed starting on Sunday (March 15) as part of preventive measures against the new coronavirus or Covid-19. The temporary shutdown will be enforced until March 31 “to limit large gatherings and protect public health in response to Covid-19”, the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office announced. At least 12 major attractions in the capital as well as Al Ain are affected. The Department of Culture and Tourism said it will issue an update once “cultural sites resume normal operations”.

Public parks

Public parks in Abu Dhabi will remain open during weekdays until 10pm and until 12am on weekends, according to the Department of Municipalities and Transport.
