Dh50,000 for quarantine violators in Dubai, Sharjah
DUBAI – Travelers arriving in Dubai or Sharjah must remain in self-quarantine until their negative PCR test result is released, according to the UAE Digital Government (DGOV). According to the DGOV, violators will be fined Dh50,000. Those who test positive must follow instructions from the local health authority. In Dubai, passengers must undergo RT-PCR test on arrival, if requested, and quarantine themselves until they receive a negative result. In Sharjah, passengers arriving at the airport must undergo mandatory PCR test on arrival, and go on self-quarantine while waiting for the test result. Passengers arriving in Abu Dhabi no longer need to undergo PCR test on arrival. They are also exempted from quarantine procedures.
