Government employees to work 5 and half hours during Ramadan

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) announced that all departments and institutions in the emirate would have five and a half working hours during Ramadan. It will start at 9:00am and end at 2:30pm, Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the working hours will be from 9:00am to 12 noon. There are, however, exceptions for those whose work is incompatible with these hours. According to DGHR, entities should fix the working hours for employees who work on a shifting schedule or whose jobs are related to public service, or those managing public services facilities in a way that suits the operational requirements and guarantees proper work performance.
