The General Department of Anti-Narcotics' performance evaluation meeting is presided over by Dubai Police Chief Lt Gen Al Marri.

Almost 50 percent of all suspects in drug-related cases in the UAE were captured in Dubai from April to June this year, Dubai Police reported. According to the General Department of Anti-Narcotics of the Dubai Police, the country accounted for 49.6 percent of all arrests during the period. They also seized 491kg of drugs and more than 3.3 million narcotic pills, including cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, opium, marijuana, hashish, and various types of narcotic pills. Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, praised the department's efforts during the second quarter performance evaluation session at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics.
