The UAE government will implement the paid Entrepreneurship Leave for self-employment for UAE national federal government employees on January 2, 2023. This effort is the first in the world and one of the "Projects of the 50." The purpose of the entrepreneurial leave for self-employment is to empower and inspire UAE nationals to enter the world of entrepreneurship and explore its domains, which will positively impact the country's economy in the future. One paid year is allotted to the employee's self-employment entrepreneurship leave, which they can use to launch or oversee a business venture. Additionally, the worker may combine their annual leave with self-employment entrepreneurship leave. The entrepreneurship leave for self-employment, which was approved as one of the "Projects of the 50," is a groundbreaking initiative, a quality addition, and an incentive to launch innovative projects and businesses that support economic growth and the government's initiatives to strengthen the nation's competencies, develop their capabilities, and improve their skills in a variety of fields.
